I love my sailing club, but I am so tired of running it. This year, I was somehow made Secretary again. After being Secretary, President, and then Treasurer in the last three years, and doing most of the work for all three positions ANYWAY, I didn’t want to do it anymore. But, somehow someone registered me as Secretary this year. And I’m not going to do it! I’m just not going to do it!
I’m tired.
I’m broke.
And I’m not going to do it.
I have my own boat now.
The surest way to kill a sailing club is to make it more expensive to run it than to own your own boat. (I love my Banshee.)
On a good note, I met a fellow female sailor today! Wow. Rare and wonderful.
