Downtown Norfolk in the snow
The waterfrontI was pleased to see so much water, when flying over Norfolk, Virginia. Nearly all of the inlets are occupied by houses with private boat docks. Lots of sailors in these parts. I met someone who actually lives on a sailboat, while working at the hospital. He survived Hurricane Isabelle because he was on-call that night.
Norfolk is predominantly a military town. It has a huge new mall downtown. People were quick to point that out.
